How to configure Adobe Commerce Connector

This guide will walk you through the steps to configure the StreamX Adobe Commerce Connector. By completing the guide, you’ll be able to fully ingest product and category data to your StreamX instance through the Connector.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have the following before proceeding:

  • Running Adobe Commerce Cloud instance with StreamX Adobe Commerce Connector installed

  • A web browser of your choice

Step 1: Enable StreamX Adobe Commerce Connector

  1. Open your web browser and log in to the Adobe Commerce Cloud web interface with an administrator account

  2. Go to Stores → Configuration

  3. Expand the STREAMX configuration section

  4. Click on the Connector field inside the STREAMX section

  5. Expand the Connector’s General Settings area

  6. Select the Enable StreamX Connector option to Yes

  7. This should reveal all the remaining configuration settings

Step 2: Configure StreamX ingestion

  1. Expand the StreamX Ingestion Settings section

  2. Fill in the following fields:

    • StreamX Rest Ingestion base URL

    • Channel name

    • Channel schema name

    • Auth token

  3. Ensure that those values match the configuration of your StreamX instance. If you’re unsure about any of the values, consult the administrator of the StreamX instance you’re connecting to

  4. For security reasons, keep the Disable Certificate Validation setting with its default value of No. Only change this to Yes in exceptional cases

Step 3: Configure optimization settings

  1. Expand the Optimization Settings section

  2. The Connector checks for StreamX availability before sending any ingestion requests.

    • You can disable this check by setting the Check StreamX Availability flag to No, but it is recommended to leave it enabled (Yes) unless you are certain your StreamX instance is always available

  3. Configure the Batch Indexing Size:

    • This numeric setting determines the maximum number of products or categories that are included in each ingestion request to StreamX

    • The default value is 100, which is optimal in most cases

    • The allowed range is from 1 to 500

Step 4: Configure catalog settings

  1. Expand the Catalog Settings section

  2. Review the available settings, which control low-level details of the ingestion process

  3. Each setting includes a description in the view to help you understand its purpose and function

Step 5: Save changes

Once you’ve completed all necessary configurations and adjustments, click the Save Config button to apply your changes.

Step 6: Configure stores to index

  1. In the upper-left corner of the Configuration page, switch the scope to the source website for publishing product and category data to StreamX

  2. Expand the Connector’s General Settings area

  3. In the List of stores to index field, select one or more stores to include

  4. Click the Save Config button to apply your changes

You can also override the default settings of the StreamX Ingestion and Catalog sections at a website level.
Multiple websites can be connected to StreamX.
